sunday happy

12 plates are spinning in the air: i'm experimenting with a lump of cornmeal for a deep dish pizza crust, letting the sandwich dough rise, shopping on etsy for unpainted little doll house people, scounting pandora for new music, and the toilet just needed a plunge. a perfect time to blog! ha.

adah and anne are outside playing around with yard debris, trying to get some of the yard and garden area cleaned up before our bulk order of seeds arrive. i'm supposed to be doing graduate school work, but, as usual, i'm distracted by cooking and the lures of the internet.

first bit of news: thanks, friends, for chiming in, both online and off, on the preschool dilemma. to our relief, the application to rainbow is in the mail. if for some reason she doesn't get in or is wait-listed, i will not be amused.

yesterday we enjoyed another anomaly of a day here in portland-- it was actually sunny. in the morning we went swimming in this kind of luscious fog, but by the time we were out of the pool and walking for groceries, we got plenty of vitamin D. we printed some pictures-- another anomaly in this digital age, and went to zanna's birthday party beyond our 5:00 curfew, which went better than expected. only 1 tiny meltdown in the midst of lots of running, twirling, and fun.
this morning we were all prepared to walk over to st. andrew's and at the last minute i said to adah, "wanna skip church and stay in our pj's and eat pancakes with friends?" it was not a hard convincing, and since community is church, we are feeling quite holy and happy right now.
