    • Mary Bess Ser That's the one! Totally got my attention as an early antioch soft punk emo boy who liked crafts.

    • Mary Bess Ser Totally loved the way you Xeroxed your whole body on construction paper and taped it on the wall next to your Laura Ashley outfitted twin bed.

    • Megan Nealis I have no recollection of the construction paper body. I must've been in a blackout or in the process of chalking "dykes make good moms" in front of main building.

    • Laura Royster Having been there for all of this and being able to recall it vividly, I adore this entire thread. (Also, don't tell anyone, but I had a freakish Ani resurgence not too long ago. wtf?) xoxo!

    • Sarah Davis I'm with Laura. When I've tried to explain Antioch, I have described the spring of 1997--the strains of Ani cranking out of North's windows, the echo from the stoop of people trying to raise money for kegs for our "dances."

    • Sarah Davis Also, lots and lots of combat boots. The 90s and Antioch. Togetha foreva.

    • Johnny Dispeptic You know. i always thought that attending antioch i was in some kind of cultural black hole during the nineties, like i didn't know what movies were playing, it took me an extra four months to know what pop tunes were out there, BUT now i am starting to feel like antioch was the epitome of nineties. all the things that seem so quaint about the nineties (a la portlandia) seem so antioch. i am sure it is MUCH more complicated than that though,... wait is that so nineties too?
